Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Columbia / Ft. Jackson

During my stay, the hotel staff have been nothing but amazing to my family and I as I just moved here. Danyell, the manager is the sweetest. She’s patient and always helped me whenever I needed. The staff also checked on my kids, making sure we had fresh sheets and towels everyday. The energy here is welcoming. It’s also very close to everything that I needed. I would stay here again for sure

I absolutely love this hotel! We had to come here for work and we have stayed at Hawthorne for approximately 2 months. We stayed in the oversized suite. It was amazing, exactly what we wanted and needed to feel like home! I can’t say enough about the staff. Ms. Dani (manager) has been absolutely fantastic. I don’t have one complaint. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing but the best!! Her along with all the staff members I dealt with including housekeeping have been terrific. I hate to leave here tomorrow. This has by far been the greatest experience we’ve had in a hotel environment and away from home!! The property is clean and absolutely beautiful! Great Breakfast, clean rooms, and awesome staff!! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!!! I forgot to add… I had a birthday while we were here and I got a knock on my door. It was the 2nd shift person and she had my flowers from my husband but also she gave me a gift bag that was decorated with colorful balloons and drawn by hand with an awesome and pretty expensive bottle of wine in it. That was from the hotel. I’ve never had a hotel so anything so kind and I will forever remember that!!

Our first room wasn't cleaned properly and the shower didn't drain. We got switched to a different room and it was much better. I needed extra towels the first night and never received them. She told me I had to come downstairs to get them, we went at least four times and was told no one brought them yet and she could leave her desk (even though as I sat in the lobby around 11pm I watched her continously go outside). The second night I asked the guy for towels he immediately gave them to me. They have a 24/7 coffee station but the coffee cMe out very light, the coco and chai latte dispenser didn't work. Breakfast was straight, my favorite was the biscuits. Though as I fixed food for my kids the girl that worked there watched me the whole, then commented that I shouldn't take that much food out cause the hotel doesn't like when people do that ( I told her it's my for my kids and she just repeated herself as I continued to make their plate). I seen reviews about the deposit bit I'm used to hotels doing that so no biggie. Overall the stay was alright.

Hotel is a little dated, however the entire staff is phenomenal. Miss Danni has a great team and treats her people well .

Wonderful accommodations. Rooms were clean. Necessities were stocked daily. Free coffee is available in the lounge 24hrs a day. Staff was amazing! Especially Danyell. I had some specific needs and she went above and beyond to accommodate me. She was such a blessing! I will definitely book here if I'm ever in town again.

Customer service was amazing all of my issues were handled quickly. Staff member DeeDee is a ray of sunshine and takes pride in her work. I stayed for 10 days while my new home was being remodeled. Room was well appointed beds comfy and kitchenette had large fridge and did the job. Location is close to major highways for a quick commute. Their lobby area was awesome made you feel right at home. I don’t know how they do it but it always smells sooo lovely as well. I will definitely return if needed and highly recommend staying here:)

Very clean.. I didn't know that they supply dishes and pots and pans which was great. My over all stay was amazing. The only problem I had was the tv doesn't connect to the wifi so there was little to no tv watching since I had planned to connect my fire stick to the tv. I've never had any problems with other hotels

Edit: we brought home bed bugs but there's no way of knowing which hotel they came from, we stayed in 4 hotels on our trip. Be vigilant and don't use the dresser drawers! Service wasn't great. When I checked in, I was concerned that my discount hadn't applied. She said "There's nothing I can do" repeatedly. When I called customer service, he explained the charges and that my discount had in fact applied. She could have just told me that at the front desk! The first day, we got clean towels. The 2nd and 3rd days, no clean towels. There are 3 washers and dryers, which is nice. Cost is $4 per load to wash and dry. Breakfast is really good, best sausages I've ever had. Staff in the kitchen were friendly and helpful. Pool was drained on the 2nd and 3rd day, which was really disappointing. Beds were comfy and A/C was cold. The outlet in the living area was broken. There was plenty of space for the family to spread out and not be on top of each other, and the kitchenette was very helpful. I saved a lot of money not having to eat out for each meal. The whole unit (2 rooms) has only one TINY trash can. It really needs either a larger trash can or at least 2 trash cans. We ended up using grocery bags for the trash and just setting them on the tile in the kitchen, since there was nowhere else to put it. I would stay again.
